Facilities Overview
The TransPark Center is a state-of-the-art conference facility located within the N.C. Global TransPark. It is available for the training and meeting needs of TransPark tenants and businesses throughout the surrounding region.
A theater-style auditorium features a full range of audio-visual support systems, including ISDN capabilities for teleconferencing and distance learning. The Center also boasts a fully equipped video recording studio.
The TransPark Center’s largest meeting room can accommodate up to 300 people. It can also be used for product shows or demonstrations, and it can be divided into three customized meeting spaces.
A roll-up door measuring 20’ x 20’ provides access to the Center’s high-ceiling training bay. The floor is reinforced to accommodate heavy equipment, so that companies can train employees on the machines they will actually operate or maintain.
A training lab adjoins the Center’s high-ceiling training bay. The facility is outfitted for pneumatic equipment operation, welding and other industrial tasks, creating a perfect setting for sophisticated hands-on skills training.
A comfortable setting for break time or meal time, the 80-seat cafeteria is fully equipped to provide catered hot food services.
The TransPark Center is flexible and adaptable to the needs of a variety of businesses and industries. An ample supply of general-use classrooms and meeting rooms can be used for everything from technical training courses to management education programs.
Every room has a generous number of computer ports, and mobile video conferencing units are available. The TransPark Center features two state-of-the-art computer labs, and a high-speed network connects each of the TransPark Center’s computers to each other and to the world through a redundant fiber optic backbone.

For companies that qualify, training programs are developed and coordinated through one of the nation’s premier community college systems. The center is also linked to nearby East Carolina University, the state’s third largest university. The TransPark Center works in partnership with 11 community colleges in the 13-county Global TransPark Region.
N.C. Aerospace Alliance
The N. C. Aerospace Alliance is housed at the TransPark Center. The N.C. Aerospace Alliance is an association of independent companies, academic institutions, non-profit organizations and Department of Defense agencies. The Aerospace Alliance identifies opportunities for government and industry partnerships. The Aerospace Alliance is developing capabilities to manufacture critical aviation parts through reverse engineering software.
Advanced Machining Center
The Advanced Machining Center, created by Lenoir Community College and housed at the TransPark Center, offers unparalleled worker training in precision machining, metal forming, and computer-aided design. Training in the Advanced Machining Center can be easily customized to meet any company's needs.
